If you wish to fall asleep during the day, it’s likely you work during graveyard shifts.

The problem with sleeping during the day is that your biological clock gets totally disturbed, which makes it very hard to fall asleep. Moreover, it’s also the time that most people are awake and busy, which causes an extra distraction for sleep.

However, if you have no time to sleep during the night, when it is most peaceful, you have no choice but to sleep during the day.

Light can be a bother in sleeping during the day so make sure to use dark-colored curtains that are closed to stop light from entering the room. You may also wear an eye mask to prevent light from entering the eyes.

The problem with day is that it is terribly hot, so it is better that the air conditioning or the electric fan is turned on in the room.

Before sleeping, eat a light meal – most preferably biscuits and milk since they release serotonin in the blood, which helps you sleep and causes you to be drowsy.

Also make sure that the noise level entering your room is at a minimum. You can try wearing earmuffs or maybe just talk to the neighbors in case their noises are part of the distractions brought upon by daytime.
